- Easy to set up – may be the easiest of all of them
- Voice-search feature (Amazon Instant only)
- Very fast streaming
- Full parental controls
- Gaming capabilities
- High Price
- Uncustomizable UI
- Not as extensive library as Roku
- Amazon-centric – favorability towards Amazon content
Amazon Fire TV is a media hub with a high powered processor and hefty price tag of $99.
Fire TV comes registered to your Amazon account, so all you have to do is plug it in and connect to your network.
There’s also the Fire TV stick – the little brother to Fire TV. It is an affordable alternative but isn’t as powerful and lacks other features.
As I have a subscription to Prime, an Amazon solution may make sense for me.
Note: I will be going weighing my options this week and ultimately making a decision. Did I miss any other options? Any suggestions? Stay tuned.
